Willie Nelson has a few words for the candidates of the 2016 presidential election.
“It’s the funniest thing I’ve ever seen in my life,” Nelson told KSAT-TV/San Antonio, Texas. “I’ve seen the circus a few times but this beats any circus I’ve ever seen. Seems like they’re just tearing each other down. They can’t wait to say something negative about somebody and then they still want us to vote for them.”

The singer-songwriter also discussed the legalization of marijuana. He’s started his own recreation line of the drug, which he plans to sell in Colorado under the name “Willie’s Reserve.” Could his home state of Texas ever legalize it?
“We’re not totally stupid down here and all the old people are looking around and seeing all of the money they’re taking in in Colorado, Oregon, Washington and California,” he said. “Somebody’s got to be saying, ‘What the hell’s going on?’”
